Acupuncture
The art of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and improve function. This done by inserting sterilized, stainless steel needles into the skin at specific points, which have the ability to alter various biochemical and physiological conditions in order to treat a wide variety of illnesses.
Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine , views the person as an energy system (your engine), in which the body and the mind are one. Each influences and balance the other. Western medicine isolates and separates the disease from the person. Chinese medicine emphasizes a holistic approach to treat the whole person.
QI
QI (pronounced Chee) the foundation for Oriental Medicine principles, flows through the body in tiny rivers known as meridians. These meridians connect with organs and glands. Medical theory, is that illness arises when the cycles and flow of QI in the meridians become unbalance or block.
Acupuncture Points
Acupuncture points are areas of designated electrical sensitivity that have been shown to be effective in the treatment of specific health problems. They have been mapped out by the Chinese for over a period of 2000 years.
